Hi all got a potterton prima 30 boiler, had a few probs last year with the gas valve clicking on and off this turned out to be a loose joint on the circuit board.

Didn’t find this out until I had the gas valve changed and it still did the same thing.

Any way now its developed a new problem not one that happens all the time in fact
ive only noticed it about 6 times say from mid January this year

When the boiler goes to fire up the fan runs up and you expect it to strike up and then it goes off
Then it tries again and about 80% of the time it fires on the second try..

Once lit has no problems stays lit until room stat /tank stat or boiler stat reaches temp…
Last time it was serviced was last Feb 2005

Any ideas???? this is not a major problem at the moment but I can only assume it will get worse :?:

It's an ignition problem, the kind of problem you need a Corgi engineer to look at.
