Boiler not firing up. It has been working fine without a hitch for around 8 years. This morning the house was cold and there was no heating or hot water.
If roomstat is turned up to activate the boiler, the flue fan will start up but there is no ignition spark and therefore no pilot and no main burner. After a few seconds the flue fan will stop and will then restart after a minute or so but still no ingition can be seen.
Main pcb fuse ok.
Any ideas please?
Thanks
Andy

Thanks mate,

I've seen a refurbed pcb (407677) on ebay for £30 does that sound ok to you?

I would rather remove me left nut with a blunt spoon than use a refurbed PCB

but hey its your funeral

get 2 refurb pcb;s as 1 could give up on christmas day morning.
or buy a genuine new 1 and relax.

Sounds like air pressure switch to me. Id go for that first before throwing a ton at a new pcb. Your air pressure switch makes once the fan starts running. This then starts the ignition sequence. If its not making, you dont get a spark. Also check for any debris in the air pressure switch hoses and venturi. This also will not make the air pressure switch make. If you want an air pressure switch, let me know.
