My 1st posting to this site and someone can help.

I have a Potterton Prima F60. The boiler keeps shutting down intermittently. Its on for 5 mins or so and then shuts for 10 mins or so and then starts again. It never reaches the set temperature for both the hot water and the central heating. All radiators are warming up but cool down quickly when boiler is not on, I assume because the pump is still running and flowing cooler water through??

With the cold weather setting in, any help would be appreciated.

Could be many things. Obvious one if symptoms are exactly as described would be thermostat, but poor circulation, intermitternt boiler fault etc could do it too.

Thanks for the reply ChrisR. The thermostat seems ok as I can hear the click when I turn it to show what the current temperature is. It would appear that the "intermittent boiler fault" you mentioned could be the problem. Any clues on how to resolve this?

I have also had the air pressure switch changed, but seems to have made little or no change. Boiler still on a cycle of ON for 5 mins and then OFF for 5 mins.

Any help appreciated.
