changed pcb and ht lead,so far.
seems to work ok until its been hot for a bit ,then when termostat wants it on air fan spins then sometrhing clicks, air fan stops,then tries again .has already burned out 1 fan.

fixing myself ,cant find eng to touch as isnt a new install,and is intermittant.think it looks like a air switch thing or seal.

weymouth plumber required to fix a potterton 80e.boiler works 0k but stops as if reached temp, but later tries to start again but fan keeps hunting, does fire eventually but tends not to fail when a plumber looks at it.
hot water pressure not good drops to a trickle until topped up with the higher pressure cold water.dont know if this is linked?
any advice?

I dont know who he is but my friend there gets Gas Certs for only £25.

I think its somebody in Wyke.

But I dont know if he does repairs too.

fitted new air switch same prob,briefly remove red pipe fires up replace pipe, what does air switch protect?
