Hi,

I have a puma 80 boiler and this morning I woke up to find the pilot light out. I have relighted the pilot and it stays on. When I then switch the boiler switch from standby to on, the boiler fires up and start heating up. After a short while the boiler and pilot light switch off. Even with the hot water running (piping hot) it still all goes off after a short while.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have a new born baby in the house.

Have the boiler serviced and the thermocouple replaced. Make sure the pilot jet is preoperly cleaned.

This problem can be caused by the boiler overheating and operating the o/h thermostat.

If this is the case it can be caused by pump failure, sensor failure or some less likely causes.

Regardsess it need someone experienced with this model.
