power to thy shed

cant take any pictures of the cu, its a crabtee.
Do they not show up on photos?

like i said in my op, i do not wish to wire into the house electrical system, or use caravan style leads lol.
WHY NOT??

i will be doing it the way coljack sugested - as thats what i wanted to do and had in my head from the start.
In your head from the start was a cr@p, incompetent cowboy way.

can someone tell me if that screwfix rcd will be suitable to put on the end of the flex coming out of my shed, and will 3 core flex rated to 3800 watts be suitable for what i need?
Nothing you want to do is suitable.

lights switches and sockets will be water proof ip rated gear, will be using flexible conduit, glands etc, as far as im concerend the shed aint wheather proof enough not to use out door equipment for the job
Use candles and manual tools - you aren't advanced enough to have electricity in the shed.

coljack mate - in one of my further replys i said "could i have the flex coming out of my shed, and the flex and plug stored in a waterproof enclouser when not in use"
That is so sh*te it beggars belief.

i want to make the install that bit better

My apologies - I hadn't realised that your shed was on wheels and that you dragged it around the countryside.

i dont want to wire in to the house because its not going to be a perm install
What you mean is that you aren't prepared, for god-only-knows what reason, to do it properly even though you should.

You have a fixed installation in the shed - it should be powered appropriately.

not that it has anything to do with you,
You came here asking for advice, which made it to do with me.

every other reply to my thread has been from helpfull delightfull individuals - i wouldnt p**s on you if you was on fire
Every other reply is supporting you in your appallingly tacky bodge of a job.

I have no idea why.

The double pole switch breaks two current paths at the same time. There are two switches in there, mechanically linked but electrically isolated. :) :) :)

well just been to screw fix:

1x ip rated outdoor double pole switch
1x rcd saftey plug (reduced when i got there bargin)

they dont stock the ip rated bulk heads, so it will be a visit to a local electrical factors tommrow

and wilkinsons for my 3 core flex

got all conduit and glands and a double outdoor ip rated socket in my store cuboard, will let you know when its all installed.

will also be running cat5 to the shed to stream music, sky and cctv system.

fire and alarm system to be also installed at later date.

shed guttering and water butt to be also installed.

also to shed banner - could you install a 10 camera cctv system and dvr (not bnq **** but high end panasonic ptz domes and fixed cameras?) linked to home network for control anywhere in the house or anywhere in the world for that matter? set all dome addys and controllers? and make sure all protocols (panasonic pelco etc) set correctly? alarm pirs when activated sending signal to dome ptzs cameras to pan tilt and zoom to alarm pir dection? then sending emails of footage from the house to a remote sever?

i doubt it you s**t stain

Last I checked he was an electrician, not a network engineer.

Not that setting up stuff with a load of web interfaces is difficult.

lol the cctv is not web based, the images from the dvr to network maybe, but you do not set analogue ptz domes up using any type of web interface.
