Hi everyone.
I've got a White Star - Ravenheat boiler bought by previous owners of my actual house in 2005 from B&Q. Everything was ok until aprox 3 weeks ago when it stopped working. When I press the on-off switch the green light comes on, the pump starts working but seconds later the red light comes on and stays on continuously. There is no ignition, of course no hot water or heating. The fan is not running and there is no 230V at fan. I have called Ravenheat and strangely, they have told me that in my area( I live in Southampton) there is no specialist in Ravenheat who could help  So, I started calling numbers from Yellow Pages hoping that I will be lucky. I found a corgi man who has happy to have a look at it, called in, opened it, called technical support from his office second day and said that the fault is in the Control Ignition Board and that needs changing. So he ordered the part...After days of delay, the part finally arrived, we set up a new appointment for him to come in and replace it ...but...he never came back... no answer on his phone or to my messages...very silly ....
So, now I don't know what to do... I am a bit disappointed with my corgi man ...any help will be appreciated...
Thank you!

I cannot understand why he didn't come back  If he wasn't prepared to work on this boiler he should of said, but he may just be on holiday :?:

The diagnosis of the control board sounds correct to me and I'm sure you should be able to get another engineer in to replace it.

If not why not ask Ravenheat for a chargeable callout which will include parts ;)

May be he was not sure with the diagnosis and didn't want to end up with the PCB. I understood that is £100 to £160. I dididn't know that Ravenheat does callouts, thanks for the tip ;) . British Gas does something simmilar for one-off payment, aprox £170 . Any good?

I'm only assuming that Ravenheat would offer a fixed price callout. Most of the manufacturers do.
