Problem with shower mixer

Have a shower mixer from indirect system.
When put the hot water on for a couple of hours. Still cold from shower but hot from taps.
What is the problem here?

Is it a thermostatic mixer shower? Has any work been done on the HW supply?

Yes it is a thermostatic mixer and we have just had a new pump installed. Trouble is tho it was working fine until a few days ago.

Get the installer back in to check that no air has entered the system and whether the pump needs re primed. I assume the hot cylinder was fitted with a dedicated feed for the pump?
Is the mixer new?
