This is mostly to satisfy my curiosity - we've just had a Bosh integrated dishwasher installed and the pump bit that connects to the water supply has a sort of clear plastic housing and I can see black liquid inside. After the installation it looked as if a little of this had sprayed out - I cleaned it up, but just wonder if everything is OK, and what is the purpose of that liquid? Thanks for any insight. The dishwasher seems to be working fine so far.

Hi yes sorry this was a bit vague. It is a Bosch SRV43M03GB integrated. I'm looking at a plastic unit about 3" long right where it is connected to the cold water. Will try to add a photo when I get a moment.

Sounds like it. Somehow I seem to be missing the installation literature and just have the end-user manual, which does mention Aqua Stop. I will stop worrying and enjoy the clean dishes. Thanks!
