Question about plumbing and distance to electrical sockets

I've tried searching but couldn't find any answer to my question.
Basically, I need to know if there's any regulation distance between, for example, washing machine water pipes and an electrical socket? Somebody told me there was supposed to be 6 inches between but i can't find any information on it at all.
Any help is greatly appreciated

No regulation AFAIK. The only relevant one is that electrical accessories must be suitably protected for their location. If it makes you feel better, put it 6 inches away, but theres nothing to say you have to.

I dont know about distances of sockets to water pipes but recommendations for sockets close to kitchen sinks are not less than 300mm from the edge of the sink unit
