Sockets distance from hob

hi all,

So I asked this question in the plumbing section and the answer was:

Distance from a gas pipe to a socket must be >=150mm.

However I wanted to check this in the Electric's forum too.. Is there any regulations that dictate the distance of electrical sockets to an oven/hob?

I believe it is minimum of 300 m/m horizontally.

The 300mm is recommended minimum from sink edge. This is guidance from Electricians guide to the building regs.

There's no distance stated for oven/hob but accessory must be suitable for use in the environment so not so close that hot environment/grease etc could compromise safety or operation.
