I live in a flat with 6 radiators, 4 of which have a temperature selection control (1-5) on them. The one in my living room is noisy on levels 4 and 5, very noisy on 4 but less so on 5. The noise is some sort of rushing noise which I presume is water flowing through the valves.
Today I had cause to turn the kitchen radiator down while the central heating was operating and noticed this caused the noise in my living room radiator to disappear. The noise returned however, the next time the central heating kicked in. I discovered I can now stop the noise on my living room radiator by adjusting the temperature on the kitchen radiator
Any ideas what this might indicate? The system itself is only 18 months or so old.
