Hi

I have 2 radiators in rooms that I dont want them to be on, the hallway and bathroom. They dont have any Thermostatic Valves and just have the regular capped bends on.

Can I turn them off by removing the plastic cap and using a wrench? if so is it clock-wise to close? do I close both or is one enough?

I use rads in other rooms but having these on extra just eats into my bills. I understand that it may help keep the circulation proper having them permanetly on, but this is the first property ive had where 2 rads have no TRV's. it means when Im in the sitting room (I live on my own) Im heating most the flat.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

yep just close one end on each radiator but be aware they may be by-pass radiators to enable the boiler to get rid of excess heat if all the TRVs close
