Rather annoyingly some manufacturers put the instructions on flueing in the flue pack instead of in the boiler manual.
In addition to the restrictor ring needing to be correct, the pressure monitoring take off point has to in the right relationship with the flue exit direction.
I would expect that was correct as the engineer should have been well aware of that.
