Hi folks, first time here so go easy on me !! After ten years the felt on the summer house roof is shot to pieces so i'm re-doing the roof. Have bought two rolls of ten year lifespan felt and felt adhesive and i'm quite comfortable with the "laying the felt" bit. So far I've removed the old felt, taken out all the nails, removed the pieces of wood that hold the felt where it hangs over the roof and removed any debris.
Questions - The summerhouse has never had any treatment it is tanalised i believe. Should I paint something on the roof before I lay the felt ?? Should I treat the pieces of timber before nailing them back on ?? And finally do i need underlay ?? There was none under the felt I've removed.
Thanks for any help, much appreciated
