Would it help if this was a sticky, maintained by the community?
"Recommend" and "recommendation" searching results in 44 entire threads on this forum. There must be others like "what's a good wireless alarm?" that I haven't counted. The same stuff is repeated over and over. The same products are recommended against. I just wonder if visitors would find it useful to read a sticky thread setting out some commonalities that run throughout this forum.
There's a lot of wisdom, knowledge and experience here (including the mad and the daft) that we could all benefit from. It must constitute 10,000s of hours of experience between the countless users. Perhaps something simple like "Recommended wired panel" and "Recommended wireless panel"? It doesn't have to be one, it could be several alternatives but a compact list nevertheless.
