Reducing heat in the conservatory

Hi,

My conservatory gets too hot and is unbearable in the simmer as I call it. I am planning to line the roof of the conservatory with some foil backed plasterboard so that the sun light is reflected back and it doesn't get as hot.
Is this a good idea? I am a novice and don't know much.

Any idea suggestions comments would really be helpful
