I have just put back a radiator that was removed whilst some plastering etc was done, and have opened the valves and bled it of air until water appeared, have repressurised the combi boiler, but it remains cold when I switch the heating on. Other radiators are hot, but not this one. Is there something stupidly basic that I have not done?! Thank you. I am a plumbing novice so please speak in layman's terms!

Have done everything suggested, but no heat in the offending rad! Have just examined all the pipe work in the cellar - fortunately the entire downstairs heating system is accesible, and all the pipes are hot except the stretch running to the cold one...should I drain the entire system and then refil to push out any air lock or block that's got in there? Or is there an easier, quicker solution? I appreciate your help. Thank you.

What a numpty! I've just solved my own problem - I hadn't undone the valve properly! It all works now. Thanks for your help.
