Release Pressure - Worcester 24i

Hi Guys

Sorry for being dumb, but dont know much when it comes to combi boilers, central heating system etc

Can somebody tell me how to release the pressure please on one of these boilers, the instruction manual says see installer - not an option £££

I can easily add pressure by just turning the taps on below the boiler. its just over 3.5bar at present, and manual says no more than 2.5bar...

is it a simple case of just bleading a Rad ?

check your down stairs rads for one of these

then drain using hosepipe.

Check filling loop turned of and caps fitted

if pressure still rises on heating the system will need ex vessel recharging


May also have secondary heat exchanger letting mains water into system water
