Relocating oven near stairs

I've cross posted this in Electrics as I'm not sure if that is an electrics or Regs question really.

In my kitchen, the stairs encroach a bit into the corner. We are looking at changing the kitchen layout, and want to put the oven in that corner in a tall unit.

What I'm wondering is; are there any fire regulations that we would be breaking by putting an oven under the stairs in the kitchen?

I've attached a pic of the corner in question, please excuse the mess!

Yes , it might set fire to that timber newel post sticking down below the ceiling ,but why would you want to put an oven next to that door opening
