Remedies discovered by accident.

L

longdogs

I have always suffered from cramps in my legs, mainly in my thighs which is really painful and normally sends me into 5-10 minutes of funny walks. It has always happened after a strenuous day at work. I would get home, relax, then one sudden move would set it off.

I have discovered that drinking a bottle of tonic water over the course of a week, stops the cramps completely. I understand it is due to quinine. I have not had cramp for over a year now.

Also, I get hay fever in the summer and have found that a cup of black coffee stops the itchy nose.

Does anyone else have any similar remedies?

Discovered by accident. Two things spring to mind, penicillin & nylon.

Viagra is a popular one, a new treatment to help angina.....but with some wicked side effects!!!

Meeting another woman to get over a love who doesn't want you anymore. :(

I'm still waiting for 'a cure' but they're like second hand cars - all the good ones are taken and the men are hanging on to them.

And as for dating sites - I tell ya, once you're over 50 you may as well forget it!

Fat & or ugly
"Lives with kids or they stay over"
"Must be tall"

They're all so shallow. I mean what's wrong with just being hung like a donkey and no personality?

Another cure for cramp (which often happens in bed) is to stick your head under the bedclothes and re-breathe your own breath. Inhaling CO2 increases the acidity of your blood, which neutralises the conditions that cause cramp. It works too.

But what if your wife has just dropped one?

You will kick her out of bed so fast your body won't be able to go into cramp mode!

Thanks, will pass it on to Mrs Pred, though I'm sure the wine she consumes has something to do with it....
