Hi guys.
I’m struggling to remove a pedestal basin from my tiled bathroom wall. I have removed the bolts from the underside but I can only assume it has been lagged with so much silicone when it’s been put in place (by previous owners) that I am struggling to remove it. The last thing I want to do is pull the tiles off the wall.
I have tried working some wire behind to see if this will cut through the silicone. Also tried a hacksaw blade but that isn’t working very well really.
My next idea is possibly buying a wire handsaw/cheese wire from eBay or perhaps tying to squirt silicone remover down the crack and seeing if this may loosen things off.
Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas or dealt with a similar issue.
thanks
