Remove ash stain from GSM paper....

Hi.....

I made a stupid mistake of dropping ash on an expensive print i recently bought. I tried to wipe it off and rubbed it into the paper

It's not highly visible but the fact i know it's there is annoying me.

Anybody have any ideas on how to remove it?

there's a soft white rubber (eraser) sold in art shops. It's got some funny name I can't remember, like putty or something

Breezer, thought of that but scared i might do more damage....if i hadn;t of rubbed the ash in it might have worked...but not prepared to take the chance...
