Guys

We are currently decorating our bedroom. As this is a converted loft, we have a wooden beam running right through which we like and makes a feature of the place.

Unfortunately whilst Mrs Wisey was paintinh she got a bit excited and has managed to get cream paint on the beam. When this has happened on the skirting ( which is varnished), i have gently scraped of with a screwdriver however as this is 'real wood; that doesn't seem to work.

Any one have any suggestions as to how to remove the paint without damaging appearance of the beam ?

Thanks

Well what kind of paint is it? The colour hardly matters?

sounds like paint has been sucked into the grain you can try paintstripper
but the best way if its a opption is sandblasting but very messy, you could also try the stuff thats paint but looks like stain ;)

Hey i would suggest just sanding it down , get some 60 grit if it is well in the grain then use finer grades and sand along the grain.
