I am removing non load bearing partition wall between kitchen and dining room ,which has a radiator on this wall. House is 4 years old , with a Potterton combi boiler , with overflow tank in loft, and flow and return pipes.

The radiator in question has plastic flow & return pipes from wall into centre of radiator. When I remove radiator , I will need to cut these pipes back to remove the wall etc.

Do I need to drain the CH system to do this , or can I cut pipes back and cap them ?

I have a quote from a good builder who can do all of this work but I am thinking of doing the work myself.

Any advice much appreciated.
