renault megane 53 wiper fault

renault megane 53 plate. wipers should go= 1) intermittent, 2)slow/constant then 3) fast/constant...... but go 1)slow 2)fast then 3)part way across windscreen then stop!! help???

im sorry dont know. just bought car this week..... just been out in it to drop daughter off and as its gone so cold turned heater on...... ahhhh that doesnt work either!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you got a sensor in the windscreen behind the mirror? You can see it, its a black blob behind the screen. You would have the auto lights too although the sensors are renowned for failing especially if the windscreen has ever been replaced. Your problem doesn't really sound like an auto wipers problem anyway tbh with a Megane of that age you'd best login here (free): www.meganeownersclub.co.uk

probably the sensor thats failed, my honest advice to you would be to sell it
you will always have electrical problems with it and some of them will cost you hundreds

Not entirely sure the sensors would result in the wipers only going half way though on the fast setting though. They can be tested easily by moving the lever into the first position and then trickling or spraying a little water on the sensor. Still a warning light on the dash eh, didn't even knew they had one for that problem.

What model is it?

In all seriousness, its not such bad advice to consider selling now!
