First of all thanks to all who have posted on this site, lot of useful info out there and its helped me imensly - we could do with a few more 'sticky' posts for common questions though, not sure how they get 'sticky'.
Anyhow, one thing I learnt whilst doing my blockwork was getting the consistancy of the mortar right - fantastic when you get it just right, easy to work etc etc.
What sort of conistancy should one look for whenmixing for rendering and are the scratch and finishing coats different at all?
