Can I remove/replace a leaking Thermostatic valve by only draining the affected radiator? If so is it best to shut off/isolate all other radiators also?

If you shut off all the other rad valves then you might preserve the majority of the water, and any chemical inhibitor that it contains, but you have to drain the rad in question 'cos you're removing the valve that you'd otherwise use to shut it off...

Some of us in the trade can 'snatch' a rad valve but it is not something a DIYer should try!

You have to be quick or dirty.
