Hi

I have a Newteam 9.5 shower which is now just supplying cold water only.

If I wish to replace it with another shower (may be with Galaxy 1000 8.5Kw), do I need to get an electrician in? Or can I replace the shower myself?

Please advise.
Cheers

That all depends on how competent you are.

If you are just replacing the unit and it has the relevant 2 pole isolator switch and recommended RCD already in place the electrical connections are as easy as wiring a plug just with heavier cable.

Since you are using a lower KW unit the cable should not have to be changed.

Always ensure you physically remove the MCB when you are working on the unit
