I want to replace the interior door frames in the house. The walls in the house are 38mm thick, but cant seem to get any door frames to fit. Any ideas?
Thanks
Alley
The internal walls are made of sheets of wood that slot together, they are definitely 38mm thick. The house was built in 1960's and is timber frame.
The original door frames were recessed around the walls.
If i was doing any form of alteration in your house i would replace any walls with thicker ones that i could actually use regards door casings, fitting skirts, wires, pipes etc.
