Hi all,

I am updating me CH / HW controller from a Potterton EP2000 to the Honeywell ST9400C, but am having issues working out the wiring...

The Potterton has 7 connections (plus the earth) and the Honeywell has 6 (plus the earth).

This image shows the wiring guide for the Potterton and how my system is currently installed -

And this is the wiring requirements for the Honeywell -

Could you wise / experienced members give me some advise on where the wires need to be relocated to accomodate the Honeywell?

Thanks,

Bob

Easy!

Remove and discard the red wire connected between "L" and "5",
it is not needed with the Honeywell - then just swap over the remaining wires like for like L,N,1,3 & 4 I dont know what those loose wires are in your picture though!!

Sounds simple enough!

You mentioned placing the remaining wires like for like, you do realise that there is nothing connected to terminal 1 right?

I assume this is fine and terminals 1 and 2 are just used to break the circuit?
