Hi

We have a shower over our bath. (Supply provided by combi boiler) We haven’t used bath for 20 years and our now in our 60s, so wish to convert to a discrete shower unit.

Any ideas on cost?

Thanks

Impossible to say, are you using tiles ,wall panels then size and quality of shower base and screen.

Thanks. Appreciate it’s an “it depends” scenario. Using tiles, base/screen-probably length of bath?

My parents had something similar after my dad fell backwards getting out of the bath and had to get their next door neighbour in to lift him out. Got rid of the bath and had a huge walk-in shower installed. Even had a shower chair in there.

Unfortunately the permutations are too great to give any useful kind of estimate, especially not knowing what the setup is at the moment.

Best way to get a rough idea of price would be to cost up what stuff you would want installed, that'll give you a starting point. The it's down to one person doing it all or separate resources doing their own specialities etc.
