reset light on

Hi to everyone.
My first time to the forum all good info I see
Please can anyone help me as im freezing now & im not a guy LOL
Switch my ariston microgenus 23/27mffi on & reset button is red
Press the reset button & the boiler fires up for a few seconds
The rads are getting warm as i have turned the temp up full
After a few seconds the flame goes down
I have had the pump replaced but was not that
Has been suggested the fan or the thermostat may be at fault
Anyone who can help
