Underneath my yucky lino in my kitchen are beautiful quarry tiles - but they appear to have had a layer of cement over them (only about 1mm thick) how can i best restore them?

You can get brick acid ond use that on them..make sure the room is well ventilated and you were gloves and goggles etc..

When you have cleaned them up rinse them and allow to dry..there are various sealers out there personally I find rubbing in a coat of boiled linseed oil thinned by about 30% with white spirit..then a coat of beeswax and buff with a electric buffer

Bom bom bom...another one bites the dust....
