Retaining within a retainer!

As far as I can measure as it is, I'm looking at around 8 inches max at the highest point plus the depth of the turf.

Actually, just realised. As the garden currently slopes away to the left as the pictures show, it may be a bit higher up against the fence on the left hand side after I've tried to flatten it out a bit.

Evening all.

Does anyone have any advice on what depth and height the retaining slabs should be; relating to previous posts on this thread?

Also, do they just go in to the ground or is some sort of fixer needed?

6 inches will do it. just dig a slit trench and backfill with soil firmed in. they are not holding much back
