Hi all
I'm looking for a sanity check on some advice I've been given regarding a new CH system install. A Vaillant Ecotec 831 is going in with 7 rads at approx 30k BTU. I've been recommend to have the vaillant time clock supplied, plus installing a prorammable 7 day wireless room stat - Danfoss Randall 5000si - or similar.
Now, it appears to me that the 5000si will provide adequate control of the boiler if set up correctly, so do I need the vaillant time clock as well?
If both are recommended, which one will take precedence over the other? i.e. if you have the time clock set to turn the boiler off at 8am, but the room stat is prgrammed to hold 10dec C for the whole day, who wins? I suppose this comes down to wiring, but is there an industry standard way of determining this?
Thanks in anticipation.
