Riello Burner - Fixing air shutter into position

The flow and return connections are 1/4" BSPT.
I would wager that it is 1/8" BSPT.
For what it would cost . It must be worth a try.

I'll bet that you never take a Burner off a boiler to look at the ignition spark Terry!! ;)

Im in the same boat myself here , until I pick up an oil seal for the jack I will be using a blanking screw and I understand the shutter can be screwed back on in the open position ...just wondering is this safe enough and what effect does it have on efficiency ?

It is safe enough. The effect on efficiency depends on your boiler. With a conventional flue, The air shutter reduces the draw through the boiler when the burner is not running, thus reducing the temperature drop of the boiler, so minimal.

I don't mess about I take off the cylinder and fit a new pump safer than folding pipes back on themselves and simpler.Bob ps Terry my friend you are dead right.
