SAB or SCB

I'm looking at getting a couple of Texecom Odyssey boxes and they are configurable as SAB or SCB. Question: Why would I want an SCB, rather than just using two SABs? Is there some advantage of SCB mode?

I though using one SAB and one SCB was just for cheapness.

Your current consumption is less with the SCB

Two bells set to SAB will draw too much current for most panels, so setting one of them to SCB allows you to have two live sounders without having to fit a seperate power supply.
