My 7 yr old Samsung tv has developed horizontal white lines across , only when first turned on. After 20 minutes (warm up ? ) the lines vanish.
Does any one know if it is an expensive repair?
If you replace the faulty capacitor(s) immediately (before it goes bang) it should be quite cheap as you'll be paying a couple of pounds for parts and around £35 for labour (a guess). http://www.The-Cool-Book-shop.co.uk/repair_your_TV.htm
I understand that some people feel that £1.25 is an awful lot to pay just to save a few hundred quid. It's entirely up to you whether you click on the link.
