I have had my kitchen extended and we removed the oven for a few weeks. Yesterday I reconnected the Oven and the grill part of it is playing up a bit.
I hope someone has an idea what could be the issue and if the oven be reparable (not by me obviously.)
The fault:
The main knob (same knob controls the oven and grill) seems a bit wobbly. If you move it the green light flickers on and off. The Oven part of it works, but when I try to turn the grill on. There is very little gas being diverted to the grill. But there is sound of a high flow of gas/air to a different part of the appliance. Only one side of the grill lights up and it is very low. There is also smell of gas.
Does this sound like a fault anyone has seen and would this be repairable? I was thinking maybe the control switch is faulty and is releasing gas to oven even when grill is being used? Could this happen, obviously I’m only guessing as I don’t know the workings of gas appliances.
