I have been experiencing poor DHW temperature recently, and have been told that I need a new DHW heat exchanger as it is scaled up.
But the scale (apparently) is on the DHW side of the exchanger and not the CH side ( I do live in a hard water area). The CH appears to be working fine.
Obviously I don't want to fork out for a new exchanger if all I need to do is de-scale it but I wonder if it is actually possible or likely that it has scaled up on one side only?
Even if it has do I need a new one or can I just de-scale it?
