Scantronic 9450

Hi my elderly aunt (she’s 82) has a scantronic 9450. Never had any problems with it till last night. The arm started sounding even though the alarm was in a disarmed state. She used her user code and the alarm stopped. It went off a total of 5 times through the night and twice again today. I have searched and found the installation and users guide but there is no fault finding listed on it. She says all of the lights are illuminated

Battery faulty ? , it’s an old panel from late 1980s , there are no fuses , poly switches.. so a short on ….eg bellbox due to water can make it go off …

Thanks SparkyMarka. I’ll have a look and hopefully be able to repair it but I have prepared her for the fact she might need a new system.

It was just the fact that it sounded when it was disarmed. It was windy last night so I’ll check the bell box and the wire going there in case it is loose and flapping about causing an intermittent fault. Thanks again

Tampers are active 24/7 even when alarm is unset …
