sealing a bath waste

yeah its a strange place for water to come from , if I'm stuck I may try putting some silicone around that area , at least the silicone is working on the main seal & that's the main thing
cheers anyway

quick update , unscrewed the small cover to use plumbers mate where there was a tiny amount of water after draining ,
thought the putty be better to still allow cable movement

I use Fernox LSX when sealing baths and sink wastes - never had a leak yet even on cheapo wastes.

can fernox lsx be used on the outside of a 22mm compression fitting that has a slight leak or do i have to apply it to the olive ,fitting is in a awkward place

Ideally I would crack the fitting and apply around the olive and remake the fitting.

BUT

LSX will also work in the scenario you have said.
