Friend has a wood-burning stove with 150mm stainless flue. Where it passes through the slate on top of the chimney, there is a slight gap which allows rain to leak between the ss flue and the hole in the slate (it is not welded but passes through a natural slate)

what would you recommend seal this gap?

It is in Australia so not subject to Gassafe rules or UK BCO)

he likes the idea of a sealant rather than having to buy a SS slate/spigot assembly). Is there a flexible, heat res sealant?
