We have had a single storey extension on our 12 year old house and last winter we had a small leak where the extension meets the house at about the time there was a load of snow on the flat roof (caused some minor pasteboard staining but no actual drips).
We had the roofers back and all seems Ok. I have re-pointed a couple of bricks that had some minor cracks, nail holes (where the builders pinned weather proof sheets during construction).
Someone then mentioned to me about sealing the bricks. This sounds sensible to me. Anyone got any experience, suggestions? I have about 8m x 2m of visible brick above the extension. Possibly the bottom 2 rows are new bricks. The rest are original.
