I'm installing an ex display AEG 6800 2K hob in my kitchen. I've downloaded the manual from the AEG website, but need further information on the sealant required for sealing between the worktop and the hob. Is this a special AEG product that would have been provided with the original packaging or is there a suitable alternative available off the shelf.

AEG would of supplied a small roll of black foam but you could use thin draught excluder foam as that is also only sticky on one side do not use silicone sealent though . Also its important on this model that it must have a void beneath it as being an induction hob it has fans inside to keep the electronics cool and they draw in the air from below .
