Hi All,

Some advice please.....

I am building a shed from scratch and have had some 'Structurally Graded c16 carcassing' timber delivered from B and Q.

However, I am sure I ordered the 'treated' version of this, which is suitable for exterior purposes. What has been delivered is the NON treated stuff, which is not suitable for exterior.

However, I plan to use this to make the framework and cover with treated shiplap. So is this technically 'interior' use????

Would you guys recommend changing for the exterior stuff? I really want the shed to last!

Many thanks people

No insist on treated and use a breathable membrane on the outside of your carcass. Then vertical battens then your shiplap.

Structural grade timber for a shed (unless it is monumental) is overkill btw.
