In my new bathroom, I want an extractor fan in the shower. Due to the layout of the house, it's not possible to duct it so I'm going to fit a 12v jobbie straight through the wall.
Am I allowed to put the transformer above the ceiling and if so, is it wise to do so ?

...others will probably advise too but... I installed one recently and the instructions reccomended that the transforma go above the ceiling. Just have to put it in a clear position away from insullation etc.

You'll need to put it where it can be accessed.
The as well as the connections, the adjustments for timing are usually with the transformer.
