Shower HELP!

I have an ancient Ideal Mexico boiler on my ground floor and a hot tank of some kind in the airing cupboard. The Ideal currently supplies our hot water and central heating. we want to put a decent shower in (currently have weak mixer tap arrangement) but given the age of our boiler I want to put something in that will not have to be completely abandoned when it dies and we change to a combi. Although it looks as if Electric may suit our needs we also want decent pressure which does not seem to be a feature of electric showers HELP!

might be an idea to find out what the "hot tank of some kind " is first

before jumping in

you ain't gonna get far with a fortic or elson
