Hi,
Shower is 10.8 kw.Cable run 10mtrs. Cable to be run under f/boards up thru
an airing cupboard into loft space.(clipped to rafters).would it be ok to put
cable in plastic trunking in airing c/board.Would 10mm t&e and a 45amp mcb
do the job.Dual rcd consumer unit fitted recently.

I take it you mean joists. Yes but you must keep it away from any insulation.

Yes but not necessary.

Would 10mm t&e and a 45amp mcb do the job.

10mm² would be the minimum, 45A MCB is right on the limit @ 240V. It's 47A @ 230V.
What do the manufacturer's Instructions state?
You should use a 50A isolator in any case.

This work is notifiable to the Local Authority BEFORE you start or
employ a registered electrician who would probably be cheaper than LA's fees.

Agreed. As a matter of interest, in view of the wording you've used (above), do you ever find yourself wiring showers with 16mm² ?

No. I never have.

My wording was intended to mean 'don't use anything smaller' - seems obvious now that I've written it but I know what you meant.
